What you need to know before you book

  • How do I book an appointment?

    All appointments are booked online through our booking portal. You’ll see live availability and receive a confirmation email once your spot is secured.

    Is a deposit required?

    Yes. A non-refundable $25 deposit is required to secure your appointment. This goes toward your total at checkout.

    Can I reschedule?

    Yes we offer reschedules. However, your original deposit may roll over one time if the new appointment is booked within 30 days. After that, the deposit is forfeited.

    What if I’m running late?

    There’s a 10-minute grace period. After that, your appointment may need to be shortened or rescheduled with a new deposit.

    How do I book a touch-up?

    Touch-ups are available for existing clients. Simply book the same laser service and select the area you’d like to maintain.

  • What forms of payment do you accept?

    We accept cash, major credit cards, debit, Afterpay, and select digital payments such as Apple Pay and Zelle.

    Do you offer packages or memberships?

    Yes. We offer exclusive waxing, laser, and facial packages at discounted rates, plus VIP yearly options. Ask during your visit for details.

    Do you charge for appointments outside regular hours?

    Yes. A $50 outside-hours fee applies to all appointments requested beyond standard business hours.

  • How long should my hair be before a wax?

    At least ¼ inch long (about two weeks of growth). This ensures a clean, smooth removal.

    Can I wax or laser while on my cycle?

    Yes, but you may be more sensitive. Please wear a tampon or menstrual cup if you’re receiving intimate services.

    How should I prepare for my laser appointment?

    Please shave the night before your appointment and arrive with clean, dry skin — no lotion, oils, deodorant, or makeup on the treatment area.

    How many laser sessions do I need?

    Most areas require 9–12 sessions, spaced 4–6 weeks apart, for optimal and long-term results. Occasional touch-ups may be needed afterward.

    Is laser safe for all skin tones?

    Yes. Our technology is designed to safely and effectively treat all skin tones and hair types.

  • Do I need a consultation before my first facial?

    A consultation is not necessary. Each facial is customized to your skin the day of your appointment, and your esthetician will let you know exactly what your skin needs.

    Can I wear makeup to my facial?

    Please arrive with a clean face if possible, though we’ll double cleanse before your treatment.

    What products do you use?

    We use professional-grade, high-performance formulas designed to support healthy, glowing  skin without harsh ingredients.

  • Where is Sanctuary Skin Bar located?

    We’re located at 224 Merrick Road in Lynbrook, NY 11563.

    Can I bring someone with me?

    To maintain a calm and private environment, guests are not permitted during services unless medically necessary.
